We have many informal/unpaid carers at our surgery who look after loved ones that rely on them due to disability or illness. We need to ensure that our carers themselves are also looked after and receive the correct support and guidance.
Therefore, we have set up a new Carers Drop-in Clinic here at Yetminster Health Centre every first Monday of the month from 10am-12pm (beginning June 2024). Carers attending the clinic will have the opportunity to talk to our Carers Caseworker from the Adult Social Care team for Dorset Council. They will be there to offer support, guidance, and information on providing ongoing care to a loved one, benefits and entitlements, local authority support and funding, and improving well-being.
Please come along if you are a carer in need of support, no appointment necessary!
