Job summary
Due to retirement an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Nurse to join Yetminster Health Centre. We are rural dispensing practice with approximately 4,300 patients in a small idyllic village just outside the abbey town of Sherborne. As a small practice we get to know most of our patients and have an excellent reputation with our mostly elderly population.
Whilst we would like a fully trained Practice Nurse, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to take that next step in their career. We will provide support for the right individual and this will continue to be given for your future training and development needs.
We are willing to pay competitively for a candidate that has the right personal attributes, qualifications and experience.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, dynamic Practice Nurse to join our friendly multidisciplinary team for approximately 22 hours per week (currently over 3 days). Flexibility will be necessary to assist in covering annual leave and/or sickness.
The ideal candidates will have recent experience within a Primary Care Setting, be adaptable, highly motivated, relish a challenge and want to develop an ongoing career in Primary Care. However, we are willing to train and develop the right candidate who wants to join our friendly practice.
About us
You will be working alongside 3 GP partners, 1 other Practice Nurse and 1 HCA, providing a whole range of practice nursing duties.
We have a small reception and dispensary team which supply medication to the majority of our patients.
