FACE COVERINGS NOW A REQUIREMENT (UPDATED 8th Aug 20)
The Government are expanding the places in which you need to wear a face covering. Please go to https://www.gov.uk/…/face-coverings-when-to-wear-one-and-ho… for more information. Please can I remind patients that they should NOT enter the surgery without a face covering unless they are:
• children under the age of 11,
• people with disabilities and
• those with breathing difficulties
• those who are travelling with someone who relies on lip reading.
If you are exempt from wearing a face covering, then on the same website are some useful badges and cards that you can put on your mobile phones or print out and carry with you. When challenged you will be able to show your exemption and continue without any bad feeling!
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide patients with any masks, but please remember that they can be home made masks and you can find numerous videos online showing you how to make them. Or you can simply wear a scarf that covers your mouth and nose.
Remember that the staff here all have to wear masks, so please help them feel safe by wearing a face covering for the short period of time that you enter the surgery.
