We are getting lots of phone calls regarding Meningitis vaccinations. Here is some useful information as per the UK Health Security Agency & UK Government Guidance:
All children under 2years old will be offered at least 2 MenB vaccinations. Over 2years old are NOT eligible.Children aged 14-15years will be offered MenACWY at school – administered by the School Immunisation team.Under 25’s remain eligible for MenACWY (until their 25th birthday). Please contact the surgery if you would like to have this vaccination.Over 25 years – NOT eligibleIf you would like to have a vaccine but do not meet the criteria, please speak to your local pharmacy who may be able to offer this privately as we cannot offer this at the surgery.
