Yetminster Health Centre

A Message from Dr Chris Cleaver

As many of you will know, my wife Dr Jacqui Fleet and myself left the partnership at Yetminster Health Centre at the end of June this year. Jacqui has decided not to return to work due to some health issues. I have stayed on working as a Locum and continued at Yetminster until a new doctor arrives after Christmas.
So today, after nearly 25 years serving as a GP for the people of Yetminster and the sorrounding villages, today is my last day. I will be back intermittently over the coming years as a locum covering the partners holidays and my next surgeries here will be at Easter.
It has been a huge privilege to spend the bulk of my medical career serving the people of Yetminster, Leigh, Chetnole, Thornford, Halstock, Evershot and all the villages and hamlets in between. I have met many wonderful people and been welcomed into your lives. I have shared with you many good times and been a part of your lives during times of great sadness. It has always been a great honour and privalage to have such a lovely bunch of patients and I would like to thank you all.
It saddens me that I have left during such a difficult time with the Covid pandemic, so have have not been able to say goodbye as I would have wished in a more personal way, but I still hope to see many of you again in the future.
Please take care of each other and stay safe. Have a happy Christmas and lets all hope 2021 turns out a bit better than the present!
